Wegmans to Open Virginia Store

Tomorrow, May 11, Wegmans will open the new 81,300 square foot supermarket in Carlyle-Alexandria, Virginia. The store will feature 4,000 organic options and a diverse selection of culinary fare prepared by Juan Flores, executive chef, and his culinary staff of 105.

The Market Café, found in the store, has seating for up to 250 people and includes a full bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as hand-rolled sushi.

The Carlyle location is Wegmans 107th store and its 14th in Virginia. The company has also announced it is hiring and training for its first Washington, D.C. location, set to open later this year.
