July 29, 2021 — Big Spoon Roasters — the original small-batch nut butter and bar makers in Durham, North Carolina — announced this week that their handcrafted nut butters made without compromise are now available at all Whole Foods in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic, totalling availability in 150 Whole Foods stores along the East Coast. Big Spoon's Chai Spice Peanut & Almond Butter, Fiji Ginger Almond Butter, Toasted Coconut Almond Butter, and Chocolate Sea Salt Almond Butter are now on shelves at Whole Foods Market locations in Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., in addition to all locations in the South region (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Northern Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee).

"As a small business that started at a single farmers' market, we’re thrilled whenever we’re able to bring our small-batch, delicious, and nutritious food to more people," says Big Spoon Roasters Co-founder Mark Overbay. "We're grateful to Whole Foods for such a wonderful partnership and none of this would be possible without the support of every customer who has cracked open one of our jars."

Big Spoon Roasters was born from an epiphany in rural Zimbabwe that the most delicious things in life are often the simplest — created with intentionally sourced ingredients, care, and craftsmanship. The company was founded on the belief that food matters — to our health, happiness, and the planet — and should be good for all those involved in its production, from farm to spoon. Big Spoon holds true to those values today, from engaging like-minded partners on both sides of the supply chain and providing a living wage and robust benefits for all its employees, to striving for zero-waste production and creating simple, nourishing, and straight-up delicious nut butters and bars that leave our planet better for it.
