PITTSBORO, NC. 8/18/2021 – Cackalacky® Brand has added Devil's Trampin' Grounds Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee to its specialty product lineup.

For the brand's unadulterated non-flavored dark roast coffee offering, the company took inspiration directly from the local legend of The Devil’s Tramping Ground that is located near their business headquarters in Chatham County, North Carolina.

Funny Name - Serious Brew

Hailed as “one of the scariest camping spots in the world” and located in Chatham County, North Carolina – where legend holds that the devil scorches the ground and comes through for a nightly, earthly reign in which he paces a 40’ barren circle in the forest where nothing ever grows. Hence, according to the company, the perfectly apt name for this intense and smoky-sweet dark treat.

Cackalacky® Devil's Trampin' Grounds Coffee is intended to be enjoyed with traditional "country-style" breakfast; an after-dinner treat; or, simply savored by itself as a refreshing "pick-me-up" beverage.

Additionally, like Cackalacky® Bourbon Pecan Pie Coffee, the dark roast coffee grounds also make a unique and bold seasoning and rub ingredient for grilled chicken wings, pork barbecue, chops, and ribs – particularly when paired with any of Cackalacky's "flavor rainbow" of traditional-plus topping and finishing sauces.  

About The Coffee Beans

The company selected these particular beans – single-origin Arabica beans, grown in the highlands of Honduras - for their low acidity and superb balance and density. They are then carefully roast the beans to signature dark roast in small batches. Cackalacky® Brand's Devil's Trampin' Grounds dark roast was developed specifically for coffee lovers who might be seeking something a little more bold and off-the-beaten-path from their ordinary daily brew.

The "green" (unroasted) Cackalacky® coffee beans are sourced from the independent coffee farmers of The Department of Comayagua, Honduras, and are shipped directly to Cackalacky's independent contract micro-roasting facility in North Carolina.
