Booth #2055

NEW YORK, NY – (June 2023)  De Nigris 1889, one of Italy’s largest and most renowned producers of balsamic vinegar, will be presenting its new Dark Cherry Sweet Vinegar at the Summer Fancy Food Show as part of the new product showcase. The latest to be released from the centuries old vinegar house, Dark Cherry Sweet Vinegar uses their classic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena which is slowly cooked together with cherry fruit juice to reach a thick and decadent consistency. Patrons of the event can sample this product in addition to the full line at booth #2055.

“We look forward to presenting our favorite products at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, especially our Dark Cherry Sweet Vinegar, which adds a tangy sweetness to salad dressings and sauces as well as an extravagant touch to a glass of prosecco or vanilla ice cream,” said De Nigris Brand Representative, Michela De Nigris. “We encourage buyers and others to try it for themselves in addition to our other premium vinegar offerings.”

In addition to the Dark Cherry Sweet Vinegar, the full product line will be available to try at their booth, including the newly introduced Low Sugar Vinegar and Glaze and the Sweet Rosé Wine Vinegar, featured in The New York Times food section earlier this month. This vinegar made with ancelotta grapes from the Emilia-Romagna region, has a gentle sweetness; perfect on delicate summertime dishes such as shellfish, tartare, or ceviche.

De Nigris’ collection of balsamic vinegar products are available in specialty stores and leading grocery chains in all 50 states. Retail accounts include Whole Foods Market, Walmart, Kroger, ShopRite, and Meijer, among many others. Products are also available on Amazon.

About De Nigris 1889

Founded in 1889, De Nigris is a leader in the production and export of vinegars and condiments and was the first label to develop balsamic vinegar in Modena, one of the nine provinces of Emilia-Romagna located in Northeastern Italy’s Po River Valley. De Nigris vinegar is a certified PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) vinegar. These certifications not only attest to the quality that is assured and monitored, but also the origin and traceability of the vinegar related to a particular geographic location. Created by master vinegar maker Armando De Nigris, the family-owned label first opened their first vinegar mill in 1889. After initial and continued success, Marcello De Nigris launched the label’s products on to the international market and widened the product range to include various categories of balsamic vinegar. Today, De Nigris represents 27% of Italian vinegar exports and 24% of the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
