Forever Cheese to Showcase New Cheeses & Accompaniments at Summer Fancy Food Show, Booth 3135

Specialty Food Association

Long Island City, NY, June 6, 2022 – Forever Cheese, acclaimed importer of Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Croatian cheese and specialty food, will be featuring new products at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Booth 3135, June 12-14 in New York City. In addition to new artisan cheeses from Spain and Portugal, a line of Mitica® Italian charcuterie from Piacenza, and a wide variety of retail nuts, jams, olive oils, and confectionary, they will highlight a variety of their classic cheeses like Drunken Goat®, Genuine Fulvi® Pecorino Romano, and Mitica® Parmigiano Reggiano.

One of their newest cheeses is Nieve de Cabra, a small format, velvety soft-ripened goat cheese from Extremadura, Spain. On the other end of the spectrum is Km 39, a granular aged cheese made with milk from 100% pasture-fed cows. Its name is inspired by its location along the Camino de Santiago in Galicia, Spain. On the accompaniments side, Forever Cheese will feature a new line of mini jams, perfect for cheese boards, and Pesetas, plain and chocolate-dipped coins made from Spanish figs, dates, and almonds. Michele Buster, co-owner and self-proclaimed “head treasure hunter” of Forever Cheese explains, "I can’t wait to share these finds with everyone. Sometimes I just know the product will be a hit, other times it’s just a hunch I have without a clear picture of its acceptance. The one thing that never changes is the passion for all of our products, as well as the quality and story behind them.”

In the fall of 2021, Forever Cheese introduced their new line of Mitica® charcuterie from Piacenza, Italy. The line includes a mix of DOP and non-DOP salumi from a top producer in the region. The meats are made from pigs born and bred solely in the local regions of Emilia Romagna and Lombardia and are processed within 24 hours, despite the DOP requiring a maximum of 72 hours after arrival. Their salumi are stuffed into natural, handmade casings before slow aging in natural caves, ensuring the meat is not too dry and has rich, concentrated flavor. The line includes Coppa Piacentina DOP, Guanciale, Pancetta Piacentina DOP, Salame Milano, Salame Piacentino DOP, and Salame Tartufo.

Nadia Herrera, Export Manager at Grupo Ganaderos de Fuerteventura, will be in the booth showcasing her company’s cheeses for the duration of the show. Based in the Canary Islands, they make Alisios®, Cabra al Gofio, Maxorata, and Smokin’ Goat®, which feature milk from the native Canary breed of goat, the Majorero.
