Houston, TX, December 30, 2021Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream is starting 2022 off on a sweet note by partnering with the Museum of Ice Cream in Austin, TX, to give visitors a free taste of its South Asian-inspired Mawa Ice Cream, which is made in Texas.

“From December 30, 2021 - January 9, 2022, every visitor to the Museum of Ice Cream, Austin gets a free scoop or two of our Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream,” said Snehee Chaplot, founder and CEO of the Texas-based company.

“Ice cream makes people happy, and we want to start the new year off by bringing ice cream happiness to as many people as we can, which is why we’re partnering with the Museum of Ice Cream in Austin to give its visitors a free taste of our unique and delicious Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream, which we make with love and care in Texas.”

The name Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream owes its origin to two aspects of founder Snehee Caplot’s life, her Indian ethnicity and her passion for world travel; or global gallivanting.

Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream is made with milk and Mawa (South Asian Milk Solids), that are slow-cooked to develop rich and silky caramelized notes, which results in a frozen dessert that’s creamier than gelato, with a taste people say is like super premium ice cream.

Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream is egg-free, gluten-free and peanut free, and has fewer calories and less fat than super-premium ice cream.

Along with making Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream, Snehee Chaplot’s other passion is world travel. She’s visited over 57 countries so far, with more global gallivanting on her bucket list for 2022.

Chaplot, who in addition to being an entrepreneur is a food scientist specializing in dairy, gallivanted throughout the world to come up with the globally-inspired flavors that comprise the 9 varieties of Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream – Indian Mango, Thai Coconut, Vietnamese Coffee, African Chocolate, Guatemalan Cardamom, Persian Pistachio, Japanese Matcha, Chinese Black Sesame and Madagascar Vanilla.

“We plan on making 2002 a big year, including launching our brand in numerous new retail grocery stores in Texas and throughout the country, so we’re starting the new year out on a sweet and exciting note by partnering with the coolest new attraction in Texas, the Museum of Ice Cream, Austin, giving its visitors a free taste of Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream,” Chaplot said.
