May 10, 2021 - Ginger’s Breadboys took advantage of the 2020 stay-at-home orders to complete product development on a gluten-free cookie mix for its gingerbread cookie kits.
Partnering with nearby J and W Farm of Winchester, VA, the company found a wonderful gluten-free flour for their spice-filled cookie mix. J and W Farm offers co-packing of specialty dry mixes during their slow season.
The gluten-free mix - when prepared per Ginger’s Breadboys reliable recipe - offers a supple dough and bakes into a non-gritty cookie full of traditional gingerbread flavor. Recipe options include baking with 1) shortening, 2) butter for an all-natural cookie or 3) an egg-substitute for a vegan cookie.
The gluten-free baked cookie is sure to please all pallets not just those with diet restrictions or taste preferences.
All cookie kits will be offered with regular or gluten-free mix for 2021. Both mixes make just over 3 dozen 5-inch gingerbread boy cookies. Kit options include:
- Classic – the original gingerbread cookie kit
- Deluxe – giftbox bundle with 2 tea towels, branded butcher apron and pan grabber
- Premium – giftbox bundle with 2 tea towels
- Make Another Bach – replacements items for the Classic Kit
- Just the Basics – pared-down version of the Classic Kit
Ginger’s Breadboys LLC formed in February 2018 and completed its third holiday selling season in 2020.
