Lake Champlain Chocolates releases Vegan Salted Caramel Poinsettia Gift Box

Burlington, VT -- October 19, 2022 – The ancient Aztec emperors revered the poinsettia for its color, beauty and medicinal properties.  Today, Vermont-based chocolate maker Lake Champlain Chocolates(LCC) reimagines the iconic holiday symbol as an expansion of their plant-based product line for the 2022 holiday season.  Crated from clean, simple ingredients, these chocolate poinsettias could be considered the ultimate food of the gods.

Indulgent and sustainably sourced, these organic and fair trade certified chocolates are made with coconut cream, a sprinkle of sea salt, and surrounded by a sweet, 57% dark chocolate.

“Demand for plant-based products is growing for not only for dietary reasons but because people are becoming more aware of the impact our food systems have on the planet,” says Allyson Myers, Director of Marketing & Customer Experience at LCC. “These new chocolates fill the need for a delicious, beautifully packaged gift that is environmentally friendly, both inside and out.”

The innovative Tree-FreeTM gift box from Oliver Inc. is printed with eco-friendly vegetable inks and made from sustainably -sourced bagasse, the pulpy by-product of the sugar making process, and other renewable substances. Inside, each chocolate is individually wrapped in a festive red foil, ideal for a hostess gift, holiday candy dish or tucking in a stocking.

The Vegan Salted Caramel Poinsettia Gift Box has a suggested retail price of $13.99 and can be found, while supplies last, in specialty food retailers across the country, online at lakechamplainchocolates.com and at the company’s three Vermont retail stores.
