ORGANIC DARK CHOCOLATE ALMOND BUTTER COMPANY, BROMA, TO RELEASE CBD LINE, FALL 2021

Specialty Food Association

OCTOBER 7TH, 2021, NYC  - BROMA, an organic dark chocolate almond butter company, will be one of the first to release a new line of almond butters with a hemp based CBD this fall. The company recently went through a product refresh, upgrading their branding and original three flavors of Original, Coconut, and Cherry, to include Original CBD, and coming this November, Mint CBD. Additionally, to-go packets will be dropped across their online site of eatbroma.com and in all 70+ retailers across the United States. Additional flavors include Pumpkin Spice, and coming December 2021, a collaborative flavor, Mocha, with Youtuber, Taylor woods.

Co-founders and lifelong friends, Taylor Smith and Stanely Stilwell, created Broma in 2019 in response to learning about Taylor’s 96-year-old grandmother’s protein deficiency. Utilizing their backgrounds in Business Development and Food Studies, they created an easy-to-eat, organic, plant-based nut butter. Their secret ingredient, lentils, pack in nutrients such as iron, folate, and makes the product a complete source of protein. Broma prides itself on its transparent, whole food label and its ability to claim the healthiest dark chocolate almond butter on the market. “The mission is to always provide delicious, transparent foods and whole ingredients packed with micronutrients, so you never have to choose between health and flavor,” says CEO/Co-founder, Smith.

Since its inception, Broma has been making strides in the nut butter category. In its first year, it broke into retailers such as Fairway, Erewhon, and had features in USA Today, The Austin Chronicle, Veg News, Fresh Living, and AZ Foothills, and numerous local publications. Additionally, as a woman-founded and LGBTQ+-founded company they gained support through the Women and Business Enterprise Network (WBENC) and have been featured in the James Beard Foundation Pride campaign.

What makes Broma different from every other almond butter on the market is its ability to dominate the dark chocolate almond butter space via it’s simple ingredients.  Broma packs 6g of complete protein, 4g of fiber, and only 3g of coconut sugar per serving, on top of commonly missed micronutrients such as folate and iron. Unlike its competitors, it contains no preservatives, artificial anything, or palm oil. It also fits into everyone’s diet — it is vegan, kosher, organic, and low sugar/low carb. But best of all, Broma contains lentils which contributes to its thick and creamy consistency while providing fiber, protein, and iron.

You can try Broma online at EatBroma.com and across 70+ retailers which you can access via their store locator. Support Broma on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Please contact Gabrielle Lenart at [email protected] for press, interviews, upcoming releases, and further information.
