San Diego Future Food Company launches Algae-Infused Pasta: "Too Good To Be Foods"

Specialty Food Association

February 2 - Triton Algae Innovations, a San Diego based future foods company dedicated to innovating non-GMO food ingredients from algae, has launched its first algae-infused product; a high protein fusilli, under the brand Too Good To Be Foods.

The Too Good To Be Foods fusilli is a specialty, gourmet, non-GMO pasta that delivers a fun, colorful, and tasty option for all. Whether you are looking to add a creative element to your meals or just need a quick and easy solution for those hectic nights, Too Good To Be Foods provides a healthy meal without sacrificing flavor or nutrition.

Too Good To Be Foods pasta is infused with a unique microalgae, that contains robust protein levels, a complete amino profile, and is rich in vitamin A, iron, and omegas 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. Too Good To Be Foods pasta is currently sold exclusively on Amazon.com, with plans to make it available to traditional CPG retailers and Food Service.

Too Good to be Foods will be the commercial food applications division of Triton Algae Innovations, demonstrating how Triton’s proprietary microalgae can be implemented into a wide variety of foods. Thus far, the company has created algae-infused pastas and superfood protein powder; and that’s just the beginning. Triton has developed a proprietary fermentation process to produce novel food ingredients in a more sustainable fashion than traditional agriculture. In doing so, Triton has created a new source of healthy alternative protein while giving nature more room to thrive and maintaining a relatively small production footprint.

Too Good To Be Foods will be launching additional products including an algae-infused pork-style vegan dumpling utilizing Triton’s proprietary algae, coming in Q1 2023.
