Specialty Food Association

BROOKFIELD, CT September 7, 2021 – Simpson & Vail, is excited to announce the release of 2 new National Park teas to their National Park tea line bringing the line now to 10 teas.

The National Park Tea line is comprised of 10 teas and a gift box sampler (containing all Park teas).  Allegra Tedesco, creator of this fabulous line, states “In 2016 I started, while in college, working here at Simpson & Vail. I've enjoyed exploring the world of teas and decided in 2019 to combine my love of tea with my passion for the great outdoors. My goal with this line is to do my part in preserving the beautiful lands designated as national parks and to raise awareness for why the parks are so important.”

Like all the teas in this line, the newest offerings, Joshua Tree and Glacier, contain ingredients and flavor profiles found at each of these parks.  This Summer Tedesco was able to go directly to these parks to research and enjoy their beauty. “It was an amazing opportunity to immerse myself in the culture and speak with locals about the area” she said.

Simpson & Vail owner Jim Harron states “We are thrilled to offer these new blends and we’re even more excited to give a percentage of sales to help preserve our national parks.”  Simpson & Vail donates 10% of all sales in this line to the official non-profits associated with each of the parks.

Simpson & Vail’s National Park tea line was officially launched in the Spring of 2020.  With many parks having to close due to the pandemic, this line has been wildly popular for tea drinkers who are outdoor enthusiasts as well as for people who want to support the parks from afar. This delightful line is among the approximately 375 teas offered by Simpson & Vail.  Other lines include Dessert Teas, Literary Teas, Holiday Teas, Yoga Teas, and Wellness Teas as well as black, green, oolong, white and botanicals from around the world.  Blended teas are mixed in small batches, to ensure freshness, and are shipped daily from their Connecticut facility.

Simpson and Vail, incorporated in 1929, is the second oldest tea company in the United States.
