Sprouts, Community Markets Go Omnichannel

Sprouts and Uber Eats said Monday that they have partnered on grocery delivery. Additionally, California-based local markets Gus’s Community Market and New Leaf Community Markets revealed that they have worked with DoorDash to bring grocery delivery capabilities to their stores.

Sprouts will roll out delivery through Uber Eats to its markets in phases this month, beginning with more than 40 Florida locations and expanding to all Sprouts stores by the end of the year. More than 15,000 products from Sprouts will be available for delivery on the Uber Eats app, including organic groceries, local farm-fresh produce, keto-friendly, gluten-free, vegan, and plant-based items.

“We are excited to expand our reach and respond to customer demand for fast, convenient delivery of our high-quality better-for-you products that you can’t find anywhere else,” said Nick Konat, president and COO of Sprouts, in a statement. “By partnering with Uber, more people will be able to access our uniquely healthy assortment and the season’s freshest, most delicious produce.”

Gus’s Community Market, a family-owned San Francisco staple, and New Leaf Community Markets, a Santa Cruz-based natural and organic grocer, join DoorDash to offer consumers a variety of locally sourced and quality selections through same-day delivery, according to the grocery delivery app.

Gus’s has operated within its local community for over 40 years and will offer its entire selection to its consumers. The first B Corp Certified grocer in California, New Leaf will offer its selection of organic and seasonal produce, all-natural grocery items, and high-quality body care and wellness supplements. All six stores along the Central Coast will operate through the service.
