Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Unveil Prime Day Deals

Amazon Prime Day, which runs today and tomorrow, features many Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods grocery deals, reports Winsight Grocery Business.

Amazon Prime members can receive 25 percent off in-store purchases at Amazon Fresh as part of Prime Day. However, due to store closings and a shift in its grocery strategy, the company only operates 44 brick-and-mortar locations across the U.S., making it difficult to take advantage of the deal.

Amazon subsidiary Whole Foods is offering savings with a six percent cash back deal for shoppers using an Amazon Prime Visa card, as well as 10 percent off hundreds of in-store items. Select deals also feature deeper discounts that run past Prime Day, such as 35 percent off ice cream and frozen desserts until July 18, according to the report.

Both Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods are discounting private label products from 365 by Whole Foods.

Competitors, including Target and Walmart, are offering discounts on grocery items that run during Prime Day. Target Circle members can find deep discounts on select products while Walmart features its own deals in addition to half-priced Walmart+ membership. Full Story
