Flavor-Packed Cheeses Introduced at Show

Specialty cheesemakers continue to experiment with unique flavors and formats. Summer Fancy Food Show exhibitors will celebrate their latest offerings when the Show kicks off this Sunday at the Javits Center in New York.

Legacy cheesemaker Marin French Cheese Co. will unveil its newest seasonal cheese: Petite Boo Ash-Coated Brie, available in a 4-ounce offering. The cheese is a Halloween-inspired triple crème brie encased in vegetable ash with an orange paste colored with annatto.

“In addition to the award-winning offerings so many are familiar with, we’re excited to show off our fun new seasonal offering, Petite Boo,” said Bonnie Kaufman, Marin French Cheese Co. associate brand manager, in a statement. “Launched on a very small scale at our own retail shop last year, Petite Boo garnered attention online and within the industry for its gorgeous pop of color, and we are proud to announce it’s available for wider distribution in 2023."

FrieslandCampina, a global dairy company, will showcase the following additions to its Royal Hollandia brand: Black Garlic Gouda, Walnut Gouda, Garden Herb Gouda, and Very Berry Goat Cheese. They will be on display at booth #360.

"The debut of Royal Hollandia's flavors, in particular, represents our commitment to pushing culinary boundaries and providing unique taste experiences for our valued customers. We can't wait to share these extraordinary flavors and engage with attendees who share our passion for specialty cheese,” said Joshua Rosen, brand manager at FrieslandCampina, in a statement.

Forever Cheese, a European importer of artisan cheese and specialty foods, is unveiling a new selection of cheeses while also celebrating its 25-year anniversary by updating its branding. New products include an extension of its line of Wooly Wooly fresh sheep’s milk log from Spain, with new flavors: Everything Seasoning and Five Pepper Blend. The cheeses can be found at booth #3236.
