Vermont Creamery Launches Scholarship

Bob Reese

Vermont Creamery has unveiled the Bob Reese Scholarship for Aspiring Cheese Professionals, a tribute to the brand’s co-founder, Bob Reese. With this scholarship, Vermont Creamery endeavors to empower those who aspire to learn artisan cheesemaking, said the maker.

“The Bob Reese Scholarship embodies our commitment to nurturing the next generation of cheese artisans,” said Harrison Kahn, general manager of Vermont Creamery, in a statement. "It honors Bob's legacy by providing aspiring professionals with opportunities for growth, education, and networking."

The scholarship includes sponsorship of the recipient's registration, travel, and accommodation expenses to attend the 2024 American Cheese Society Annual Conference in Buffalo, New York, from July 10-13. The annual summit is for cheese enthusiasts, professionals, and industry leaders to converge, exchange insights, and celebrate cheesemaking, said Vermont Creamery.

"I am thrilled to see this scholarship come to fruition. It reflects our enduring commitment to fostering innovation and excellence within the cheese community” said Bob Reese, co-founder of Vermont Creamery, in a statement.

Applications are open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older and will close on April 29. The scholarship recipient will be announced on May 6.
