Grubhub and The Greg Hill Foundation’s Restaurant Strong Fund said Tuesday they are making more than $1 million available in grant opportunities to support growth in small business restaurants nationally. The initiative is made possible by the Grubhub Community Fund, said Grubhub.

The launch marks the fourth year of partnership between Grubhub and The Greg Hill Foundation’s Restaurant Strong Fund. The Greg Hill Foundation is an organization that helped families affected by tragedies, and the restaurant project was originally created to aid those in the industry affected by the pandemic.

The Restaurant Strong Fund will focus on providing grants that impact revenue growth and areas including updating technology/equipment necessary to enhance day-to-day operations, marketing and public relations services, staff training programs, incentivized wages, or maintenance/updating of current infrastructure.

Until March 15, restaurants can apply for this grant by providing specific plans outlining how the funding will be utilized and expectations of growth. Grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 will be awarded based on the need and growth opportunity showcased in the application. Grants will be limited to U.S.-based single-location restaurants.

A portion of grant funds will be dedicated to restaurants established in 2021 or later to aid their introduction to the restaurant industry.
