DoorDash Partners With Range of Grocers

DoorDash has announced new retail partners Albertsons, Walgreens, BJ’s, Dollar General, and Wawa which will offer grocery, convenience items, and alcohol delivery through its platform.

"DoorDash's mission is to be the one-stop shop for all local commerce needs for consumers, and that starts with bringing every business on Main Street online,” said Shanna Prevé, vice president, business development at DoorDash, in a statement. “Our goal is to level the playing field for retailers while helping consumers get the best of their neighborhood delivered to them instantly. DoorDash is hyper-focused on selection, and we're excited about the significant progress we've made towards connecting every grocery, convenience, and retail store to every local consumer."

DoorDash now operates with over 75,000 non-restaurant retailers across North America. Recently forged partnership involve:

• Sprouts Farmers Market

• EG America, parent of Cumberland Farms, Certified Oil, Fastrac, Kwik Shop, Loaf N’ Jug, Minit Mart, Quik Stop, Sprint, and Turkey Hill

• Giant Eagle

• Weis Markets

• The Raley’s Companies

Grocery store purchases on the DoorDash platform increased by 130 percent over the last year. The company intends to help optimize this experience through these partnerships.
