FCIA HOSTING CHOCOLATE TASTING: FINE CHOCOLATE EXPERT LAUREN ADLER LEADING PRESENTATION AT WINTER FANCY FOOD SHOW

Specialty Food Association

Lauren Adler, a chocolate expert and the president of the Fine Chocolate Industry Association’s board of directors, is hosting a guided chocolate tasting during the Winter Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas on Monday, Jan. 16 at 10:30 a.m. on the Taste it Live! Stage, Booth 1517.

Adler’s presentation is the featured session on the Taste It Live! Stage at the Las Vegas Convention Center. She will feature chocolate from four FCIA member companies exhibiting at the show and will focus on educating buyers to make more informed decisions about the merchandise they carry and how to use fine chocolate to increase sales across categories.

“I’m excited to engage retail buyers in a sensory chocolate tasting experience sampling some of the best chocolate in the world and discussing ways to use fine chocolate to engage customers and increase sales,” Adler said.

Participating member companies include:
Valrhona - Booth 1757
Scharffenberger - Booth 1948
To’ak - Booth 1630
jcoco - Booth 1630

“We are delivering the education in a way that engages their senses and hopefully forms deeper connections with the brands to drive traffic to their booths,” said Ephi Maglaris, executive director of FCIA.

At the show, Adler will offer tools on incorporating chocolate into vendors’ merchandising mix. Attendees will taste single-origin chocolate and inclusion chocolates while Adler provides tips on choosing chocolates for baking versus cooking, plus how to cross-merchandise fine chocolate with other specialty foods.

The presentation promises to give buyers suggestions for creating unique chocolate-pairing experiences to help customers expand their chocolate pantries—and their sales.
