Portland, Oregon Based Sibeiho Earns Its Fifth Good Food Award Recognition
NEW YORK (June 10, 2026) — Sibeiho, the award-winning Singaporean food startup founded by Holly Ong, is thrilled to announce that its MOF Sambal (aka Mouth on Fire) has been named a winner in the Pantry category of the 2026 Good Food Awards. MOF Sambal joins a distinguished group of 242 winning products from 198 makers, recognized for excellence in taste, quality, and responsible production.
Chosen from more than 1,200 entries through a rigorous blind tasting process, this year’s winners represent some of the most exceptional, consciously crafted products in the good food movement. For Sibeiho, this award marks a milestone: it’s the brand’s fifth Good Food Award — a testament to their decade-long commitment to craftsmanship, authentic flavor, and responsible sourcing.
About MOF Sambal
MOF Sambal by Sibeiho is a vibrant Singaporean-inspired sambal chili sauce made in small batches in Portland, Oregon. Inspired by Sambal Hijau, a classic Southeast Asian green chili condiment, this sauce delivers bright acidity, layered heat, and deep savory flavor.
What makes MOF Sambal unique is its Pacific Northwest twist. Instead of the traditional green tomatoes used in Southeast Asia, we use fresh tomatillos, giving the sauce a lively tartness that perfectly balances the warmth of chili peppers and garlic.
The result is a bold vegan chili sauce that adds instant flavor to almost anything you cook.
“Winning a fifth Good Food Award is incredibly meaningful to us,” said Holly Ong, founder of Sibeiho. “When we started hosting Singaporean supper clubs in Portland back in 2019, we just wanted to share the food we grew up loving. MOF Sambal is a little wilder, a little bolder than anything we’ve made before — and having it recognized by the Good Food Awards tells us we’re on the right track. Singapore food deserves a place in every American pantry.”
